Hollywood Creative Forum 9.0 Photo Gallery continued
Alaska Natives Anna Hoover, a filmmaker, and Phillip “Ossie” Kairaiuak, a composer, playwright and member of the indigenous music group Pamyua (bun-yo-ah) attended the 9th Annual Hollywood Creative Summit sponsored by the Walter Kaitz Foundation through the largess of Alaska's largest telecommunications company, GCI. The company awarded the two Alaska Native content creators with the first-ever fellowship opportunity to attend the prestigious forum for creators of color in both the scripted and unscripted realm.

The Native American Experience panel was moderated by Ian Skorodin, president of Barcid Productions. The panel dissected the expectations and realities faced by Native Americans in film and television. Panelists from left to right are Jason Grasl, actor, writer and member of SAF AFTRA's Native American Committee; Carlee Malemute, writer, "Love Me or Else"; and Tricia Wood, casting director for "LaLa Land".
The Luncheon Panel - "Navigating the Development Process" was among the most popular of the Forum with Cheo Hodari Coker of Netflix's "Luke Cage", Adele Lim co-executive producer of Fox's "Le"thal Weapon" "and Matt Lopez creator and writer of "Gone" on NBC. The panel was moderated by Nancy De Los Santos Reza, a producer and writer on the Hulu series 'East Los High'. Coker spent upwards of two hours interacting with Forum participants after the panel answering questions and offering career advice.
Building Experiences That Advance the Way We Connect. Kymber Lin, co-founder and chief creative officer for Holor Media, a 360 Virtual Reality company joined a panel to discuss how new formats like VR are being used to enhance how audiences connect to one another. She was joined on the panel by development executive with Portal-A; Celine Tricart, Founder, Lucid Dreams Productions and Dan Evans, Vice President of Creative Affairs, DC Entertainment. The panel, produced by the Digital Diversity Network, was moderated by Robinne Burrell, co-founder & Chief Product Officer for Redflight Mobile Innovation.
